Conventional Dentures
Full dentures (sometimes called “plates”) rest directly on top of gum tissues as they reconstruct the lost height of the bony arch and teeth across the jaw. Traditional denture designs are made to take out at night but feel comfortable enough to wear all day. With practice, you’ll be able to eat and speak confidently again.
Partial Dentures
Sometimes it’s possible to retain several healthy teeth, meaning that we’re able to eliminate the need for a full denture. With a partial prosthesis, we can replace the teeth that are missing without extracting the ones that are healthy. A partial snaps into place and is stabilised by your remaining teeth, allowing it to be much smaller than a full arch denture.
Implant-Supported Options
Did you know that it’s possible to anchor your full arch denture on top of as few as four dental implants? Choose between removable overdentures or a stabilised prosthesis that’s only removable by a dentist. Implant denture designs offer improved security and comfort for patients with extensive bone and tooth loss.
Caring for Your New Prosthesis
Removable dentures should be cleaned every night to prevent infection of the gums or buildup on your prosthesis. Soak your appliance overnight to loosen any remaining residue and keep the acrylic moist. After wiping your mouth with a clean washcloth, brush and rinse the denture again before putting it back in.
